Mastering Watercolours: A Three-Day Journey from Basics to Brilliance

We're excited to announce the much-awaited three-days watercolour course, specially designed for beginner to intermediate artists. Below, you'll discover a detailed overview of what to expect during our course, along with essential information to help you prepare for our sessions.

Session 1: Introduction and Preliminary Basic Techniques
Date & Time: March 9th, 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Duration: 3 hours

During this introductory session, we'll cover the fundamental techniques and concepts essential for watercolour painting:

• Introduction to Tools and Materials: Familiarize yourself with the necessary tools and materials required for watercolour painting, and learn how to set up your painting area for optimal creativity.
• Palette Setup: Discover effective methods for setting up your palette and organizing your colors.
• Activating and Mixing Paint: Explore the fascinating world of color mixing, and learn how to activate and blend watercolour pigments on your palette.
• Understanding Values: Delve into the concept of values in watercolour painting, and master the creation of light, medium, and dark tones.
• Wash Techniques: Learn various wash techniques, including wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry, to achieve different effects in your painting
• Color Dropping: Discover the dynamic effects of color dropping to mix colors directly on the paper.
• Dry-Brush Technique: Master the dry-brush technique to add texture and detail to your watercolour paintings.

• Watercolours (Artist Grade Paint)
• Assorted Brushes (Sizes Provided)
• Watercolour Paper
• Water Container
• Cloth or Paper Towels
• Mixing Palette

Session 2 & 3: Applying Techniques to Reference Images
Dates & Times: March 16th, March 23rd, 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Duration: 3 hours per session

In sessions two and three, we'll apply the techniques learned in session one to create paintings from reference images. Each session will focus on a different reference image, providing you with the opportunity to practice and refine your skills under guided instruction and individualized feedback.
